In India, there is a gap between the mainstream society and the less-privileged people living in the hills and the forests. AIM for Seva wants to bridge this gap by creating a national movement of Seva, similar to Mahatma Gandhi's movement of freedom. It envisages a society where people care for people. Care, which promotes self-sufficiency and maintains the dignity of those who are served. Nearly Seventy percent of India lives in villages. Rural areas throughout India are isolated from mainstream society, without basic infrastructures such as schools and hospitals. Villagers and tribal people suffer from malnutrition, poor hygiene, lack of education, and lack of medical care. AIM for Seva operates various projects and continues to start new projects to establish adequate conduits for the free flow of care between urban and rural areas of India. The primary goal of AIM for Seva is to establish economic, social, and cultural strength within all of India.
