With funds received through United Way of America and others, local United Ways in Florida have played a key role in the long-term recovery of individuals and families in their respective communities. Additionally, United Way of Florida has hired a statewide long term recovery coordinator who represents us at national and statewide recovery tables, in order to better assist local members in finding resources, developing appropriate partnerships, and understanding the recovery process.
