The Office of Disaster Response responds to many needs. Our
ministries include free Medical Care (St. Anna's Mobile Medical
Unit), house gutting and rebuilding, distributing food and basic
supplies (Mobile Respite Unit and Mobile Loaves and Fishes), and
case management for returning families.
Each of these ministries has unique needs. Below is a list of needs
for each ministry. These lists are updated from time to time to
properly reflect our needs.

families affected by hurricane Katrina. The program provides for
individual case managers to help individual families resolve the
complicated problems and needs they face preventing long term
recovery.
Our case managers are trained to support as well as to empower
hurricane survivors to take control of their own recovery plan.
The process includes linking the clients to the benefits, providers
and services needed to assist them in their recovery.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the diocese of Louisiana! The Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana's Office of Disaster Response is focused on helping families and individuals who have been affected by hurricanes Rita or Katrina work through a recovery plan. Part of that plan often includes a need for volunteer help.

Case Management
The Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana's Office of Disaster Response currently is providing case management services to individuals and families affected by hurricane Katrina. The program provides for individual case managers to help individual families resolve the complicated problems and needs they face preventing long term recovery.
Our case managers are trained to support as well as to empower hurricane survivors to take control of their own recovery plan. The process includes linking the clients to the benefits, providers and services needed to assist them in their recovery.
