6/11/08:
Thousands of Indiana families are facing devastating loss today as flood waters and tornadoes have swept across the state over the last week. Your help in volunteering is needed now. Volunteer crews are beginning work today to help salvage possessions, clean out homes and help flood victims. You can volunteer in counties across south central Indiana. Volunteers and heavy equipment are needed for Friday and Saturday especially. Teams will be working for the next several weeks.
You can also help fill food and supply pantries. Donations of pantry supplies and cleaning products are needed.
You can also donate to HCRN to help us as our staff works with state officials and other volunteer organizations to bring help, hope and healing during this very difficult time.
Donations can be made on-line via credit card or mailed directly to our offices.

Hope Crisis Response Network - HCRN is a not-for-profit
501c3 organization located in Northern Indiana. The mission
of HCRN during times of disaster is to: 1) coordinate and
deploy volunteers, resources, and financial assistance to
the affected areas; 2) serve as advocates to help victims
obtain assistance from appropriate agencies and organizations;
and 3) assist in devising and implementing post-disaster long
term recovery plans for local communities.
Volunteers are the most valuable and vital resource for any
recovery. It is not only our responsibility to provide
well-trained volunteers but to equip them with the tools they
need to do the job. The secret to having motivated volunteers
is to be well prepared and take good care of them. We work
within the community to make sure that each of our projects
is well planned and managed in a safe and friendly working
environment.
When a disaster is declared, HCRN is called upon to provide
assistance in all four stages of a disaster:
Stage One- The Emergency
or the 1st Responder

Stage Two- The Relief
