Disaster Relief

Help for Our Neighbors
Thanks to many people from near and far, great things have been
accomplished through the office of Coffee Baptist Association in
regards to Disaster Relief. So much has been done to help feed
people, repair buildings, deliver food, and try to meet the needs
of victims of the March 1st tornado.

Rev. Cliff Quincey and the members of New Home, Dr. Tony Dye and
the members of Bethany, along with Rev. B.P. McCollough and Mr.
Dean Craig are building a new home for Mrs. Alberta Bass. Mrs.
Alberta's West Watts Avenue home had to be demolished and removed
as a result of damage from the tornado.

Rev. John McCrummen and Open Door members are rebuilding a business
for Mr. Patrick Kelley. His business was also destroyed in the tornado.

Our hearts rejoice when we think of the many people who truly show a
servant's heart to the people in our area who are in need.

--------------------------------------------------------

Coffee Baptist Association consists of 50 Southern Baptist
congregations. Each church is autonomous in government under
the lordship of Christ, associated in a fellowship working
together to serve mutual needs, to minister in Christs name,
and to reach people for the Lord. About half of the countys
population are connected to CCBA churches.

The Coffee County Baptist Association was formed in 1908 when
the Pea River Association (1877) and the Haw Ridge Association
(1889) merged. Actually, both associations already had changed
their names and were known as Coffee Baptist Association, Coffee
County Association, or Coffee County Baptist Association.
