Coffee Baptist Association consists of 50 Southern Baptist
congregations. Each church is autonomous in government under
the lordship of Christ, associated in a fellowship working
together to serve mutual needs, to minister in Christ’s name,
and to reach people for the Lord. About half of the county’s
population are connected to CCBA churches.
The Coffee County Baptist Association was formed in 1908 when
the Pea River Association (1877) and the Haw Ridge Association
(1889) merged. Actually, both associations already had changed
their names and were known as Coffee Baptist Association, Coffee
County Association, or Coffee County Baptist Association.
