Volunteer Center
The Volunteer Center of McDowell County officially opened its doors on October 19, 2000. It is designed to mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community problems in McDowell County.
The volunteer center will lead the community in the continual assessment of needs as well as working with equipping volunteers to meet perceived needs. The center will serve as a resource center for persons seeking volunteer opportunities and agencies needing volunteers.
