Who We Are - NOT A SHELTER
We are a small group of volunteers who rescues stray or lost animals in Diamondhead. We have served the Diamondhead Community for many years.
Diamondhead SPCA is a nonprofit organization based in Diamondhead, Mississippi. We DO NOT have a shelter, but keep the pets in a foster home until a permanent home can be found. We hold fundraisers each month to cover expenses. We are always looking for new volunteers and loving homes.
We care for stray and homeless animals found in Diamondhead. We take them into foster care, get needed medical aid, and place them if the owner doesn't reclaim them.
We educate people on Animal Issues. We promote spay, neuter, vaccination programs, and do other educational work. We are opposed to euthanizing of pets that are healthly and instead try to find them homes. All of our cats are healthly when released for adoption.
Adopting a friend
Diamondhead SPCA's policy is to spay/neuter each animal before releasing them to an adoptive home. We will discuss your needs and the animal needs to determine if you and the animal would be a good match. Potential adopters are advised to have a veterinarian selected. All cats and dogs are altered if old enough before going to their new home. We do not charge for the pets, but do take donations.
Please call Diamondhead SPCA at (228) 255-5861 if you are interested in giving one of our animals a home. We will arrange a time when you can meet the pet.
------------
We have some older cats that need a home and would make excellant pets. Also, we have some cats that are farm cats available. What we call farm cats are cats that are not good indoor pets. All of our cats have their shots current and they have been neutered. If you are looking for a cat (indoor or outdoor) give us a call at 1-228-255-5861 and we will let you know if we have what you want available. We do not charge for our pets, but do accept donations.
------------
