Food, Holiday * (ANY/ALL Types) available at Bernardine Center ~ Food Cupboard

The West Side Brunch is a companion program to the Food Cupboard. Since no agencies on the west side of Chester provided meal service for the needy, the Center established this program. It offers a nutritious mid -day meal two days per week. The Brunch serves approximately 200 clients monthly. The West Side Brunch has already begun to promote a sense of community through its interaction with staff and clients. Bernardine Center staff members serve the brunch and take advantage of conversations to become personally acquainted with the clients. A sense of belonging and family has developed between the staff and clients. The clients have also begun to increase in their awareness of one another. The Bernardine Center staff makes special efforts to celebrate holidays as well as clients' birthdays. The staff also serves special meals and prepares special dinner baskets at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter holidays.
Hilltop School Boy Scouts and their families donate food to
restock BC's pantry.
